The island-province of Camiguin is a pear-shaped volcanic island in the northern tip of Mindanao. It is approximately 90 kilometers north of the City of Cagayan de Oro. It is bounded to the north by Bohol Sea, to the west by Macajalar Bay, to the southeast by Gingoog Bay and to the east by Butuan Bay. Mambajao is the capital of Camiguin, and Catarman is the second largest town on the island. The main local language is Cebuano, also called Bisaya. English and Tagalog are also widely spoken. Camiguin has three ferry terminals: Guinsiliban, Benoni and Balbagon.

Camiguin is a real gem and feels extremely safe compared to its neighboring islands. Its landscape has been continuously shaped and reshaped by volcanic activities, giving this island paradise countless tourist attractions like cold spring, waterfalls, Mount Hibok-hibok, Sunken Cemetery and a lot more. 

Camiguin Island as well is famous of its own pilgrimage site for the Roman Catholics known as the Walkway to Old Volcano and Stations of the Cross especially during the Lenten Season. 

The WALKWAY TO THE OLD VOLCANO AND STATIONS OF THE CROSS is an 8 kilometer path with 14 human-sized stations located at Mt. Vulcan in Barangay Bonbon, Catarman. The spot is one of the famous tourist destination in Camiguin Island especially during the Lenten Season as it serves as a pilgrimage site to Roman Catholic devotees. 

Similar to other Stations of the Cross walk, this has 15 stations depicting Jesus' last walk to his crucifixion. The statues are good quality and the descriptions break up a walk that can be hot & tiring especially after the first section when the trees thin out. 

As one traveler connotes, you do not need of Christian religion to admire the uniqueness of the pilgrimage site. There were many breath taking views of the coastline the higher you got. This is only recommended for fit people as it can prove strenuous for others particularly to senior citizens.
