Wondering where to go on holiday this year? Tagaytay Sonya’s Secret Garden Top Travel Destination in the Philippines

Tagaytay is a 2nd class city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. The city is relatively close to the capital city of Manila, only 59 kilometres (37 miles) away via Aguinaldo Highway, providing an easy escape for the locals from the heat of the huge metropolis.

Tagaytay is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations because of its scenery and cooler climate provided by its high altitude. Tagaytay overlooks Taal Lake in Batangas and provides views of Taal Volcano Island in the middle of the lake through various vantage points situated in the city.

Tagaytay is a city full of nature. The outdoor parks, restaurants, and even shopping centers take advantage of the stunning scenery by building around rolling hills and green ridges so that every experience feels like you’re still one with nature. It is the perfect getaway to enjoy different places that locals and even foreigners admire and appreciate.

As it name suggests, SONYA'S SECRET GARDEN is full of flowers and plants. This lush garden was a private home of Sonya, who decided to share the beauty of her garden to everyone.

Tucked in a tropical garden with flowers all around and teak wood furniture that seamlessly ties it all together, this is the best place in Tagaytay City to come for lunch.

You’ve got to try the ‘Bread & Dips’, which features homemade sesame seed bread from Sonya’s oven with a collection of tapenades such as bruschetta, basil pesto, and fresh green peppercorn in olive oil. In addition, there are fresh pastas, salads, and tenderly cooked proteins. With your meal, you can order bottomless freshly squeezed Dalandan juice and tarragon tea. It’s heaven! SONYA'S SECRET GARDEN has no entrance fee but you might want to bring cash to buy some green goodies inside.
